Top 2 Complaints about the Potrero Hill

1. Master Suite Bathroom.
   This master suite is on the top floor and the bathroom is small. There is also not a lot of counter space in this bathroom.
2. The Hills.
   This neighborhood is called Potrero Hill for a reason. The hills are very steep but it also gives you great views. You can walk to Whole Foods Market which is about 3 blocks away but the walk back to the house is steep.

1. The views.
   The views are incredible. You can see downtown San Francisco, Bay Bridge, the very top of Golden Gate Bridge (unless it is foggy), Twin Peaks, and the East Bay. 
2. The location.
   This home is close to Moscone Center, and downtown San Francisco and it is easy to take public transportation.

Pet Policy

There is a one time charge of $100 to bring your pets. Some people are allergic so you can ask when the last time a guest was at the house with a pet. This only happens about once a year since most of my guests are flying in from overseas or from the other side of the country.

Cancellation policy

You can cancel giving one month's notice or more and recieve a full refund. After one month there is no refund.

Is there a security deposit?

Yes. The security deposit of $500 is required about 2 weeks before your arrival. It will be returned to you about 2 weeks after your check out.

When is my reservation confirmed?

If your rental is within two months, you are not confirmed until I recieve the rental payment and the rental agreement. If your rental is over two months in the future, you are not confirmed until I recieve the two page rental agreement. It is possible that I email you back to let you know that the house is available and the next day it could get booked by another guest. That is why after you receive the rental agreement, I recommend sending it back soon to secure your reservation. It is very common for me to have 2 or 3 rental agreements sent out for the same time and whoever returns it to me first will receive the booking.

These homes are very famous and very popular and I sell out quickly. I understand it takes some time to confirm the booking with your group, buy airline tickets, etc. and by the time you confirm everyone, the house could get booked by another group. But you can make a tentative reservation to hold the date. All you have to do is fill out the reservation form on the website and then I will send you the rental agreement. Most vacation rental companies demand half payment upon booking and the balance due two months before arrival. however, I do not like that policy since some of my guests make bookings far in advance and I don't think it is fair taking someone's money a year in advance. No payment is due until 2 months before arrival.

Handicap Access

This home is not very accessible for those with limited mobility since there is one flight of stairs to get into the unit. However, once you are on the main level, there are 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, dining area, and living room.

Layout/Walkthrough

Potrero Hill is a famous residential neighborhood in San Francisco. It is very close to downtown and the famous sites of San Francisco like Moscone Center, Museum of Modern Art, Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, and Union Square. There is a large grocery store, Safeway, located on 16th Street and Potrero (about 6 blocks away) that is open 24 hours or Whole Foods Market is 3 blocks away.

About 4 blocks away from the home are some very famous San Francisco restaurants located at 18th Street & Connecticut: Goat Hill Pizza, Eliza's, Chez Mama, Aperto, Baraka, Thanya & Salee, and many others. Starbucks is located 4 blocks away.  There is a nice playground for small children two blocks up Vermont Street with beautiful views. San Francisco is a very small city. The city limits are only 7 x 7 miles so everything is close by and it is easy to get around by car, taxi or public transportation.

Viewings/Showing

I love when guests are able to stop by and view the home. I live in San Francisco so you can call me on my cell phone and arrange a time to view the home. I am only able to give tours when the homes are empty as I am sure you would not want guests viewing the home when you are occupying the house.
